The Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) not happy with the presidential manifestos of the two major political parties in the country, in fact, they have rejected both.

COSON said after reading the manifestos of both President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress, and that of Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, they are shocked and disappointed.
The regulatory body said it's shocked that both the #NextLevelNG and #TheAtikuPlan do not have a strategies to develop immense talent that exists in Nigeria's creative industry.

COSON has said that the creative industry is under-appreciated despite the significant contribution it has made to the Nigerian economy.

COSON has announced that the organization is inviting serious politicians to the COSON Arena to come and educate the electorate on the policies they propose to implement that will support creativity.

Speaking on the decision, COSON Chairman, Tony Okoroji said, “we are no longer going to stand on the sidelines. This is the era of the knowledge and creative economy, and we will do whatever is necessary to make sure that our country is not just an onlooker in this new world but a key partaker and serious player, starting from 2019. We mean business.”
