President Muhammadu Buhari met with John Odigie-Oyegun, National Chairman of APC on Friday over the crisis rocking the party.

This meeting comes less than 24 hours after a letter written by the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu accused Oyegun of sabotaging his efforts aimed at reconciling aggrieved party members.

It is possible that the meeting, which was held at the Presidential Villa, was to afford the party chairman the opportunity of responding to the allegations contained in the letter.

Oyegun arrived the Presidential Villa at 3pm and left 50 minutes later after meeting with Buhari.

The chairman did not speak to the media after coming out of the meeting.

He walked briskly as soon as he saw journalists approaching him for questions.
