One of the Presidential Aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Atiku Abubakar broke down in tears as he collected his nomination form ahead of the 2019 polls on Friday, August 31st in Abuja.

It is not clear why the former Vice President resulted to crying, but some feel he may have gotten emotional as he throws his hat yet again in the ring in his desperate bid to rule Nigeria.

It is understood that numerous Support Groups of their own volition, contributed, paid for and collected the Presidential Nomination/Expression of forms for Atiku on Friday.

Atiku thus become the latest big name officially jostling to unseat President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.

Many will recall that in 2011, there was a similar scenario when Buhari wept profusely for not being given the chance to help Nigeria solve the myriad of problems confronting her.

Buhari lost in 2011 then under Congress For Progressive Change, CPC before he finally got his wish and was voted in overwhelmingly in 2015 under the All Peoples’ Congress, APC.

Already, Atiku has vowed to run for only a single term if elected President in 2019.

He said he is ready to sign a pact to that effect.

Atiku said he will keep to his promises, unlike President Buhari.

“I have said this before on my own initiative. I believe in it. If I am elected as the President in 2019, I give an undertaking that I would only do one term,” the Waziri Adamawa said in an interview.
