2019: Atiku Asks Lamido To Step Down For Him
Former Vice President and presidential aspirant under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has appealed to former governor of Jigawa State and also a presidential aspirant under the party, Sule Lamido, to step down for him in the race.
The former Vice President, made the appeal on Monday through, a short story that he narrated while addressing the party faithful in Jigawa State
Atiku was at the state party secretariat in Duste as part of his campaign tour to woo delegates ahead of presidential primary election.
Narrating the story, Atiku said: in the days of SDP and NRC, former President, Late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, dropped his governorship ambition of Katsina State to pave way for his elder brother, who was eyeing the Presidential position under same party."
“I am older than Sule Lamido, therefore, he should step aside for his elder brother.”
