2019: After Ezekwesili, Another Presidential Candidate Hints On Stepping Down From Race
Moments after Oby Ezekwesili announced her withdrawal from 2019 presidential race, the candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria, Fela Durotoye has also asked for a coalition among the leading young candidates.
With the withdrawal of Presidential Candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN0, Obiageli Ezekwesili from the presidential race, another leading candidate has hinted he might also step down from the race to form a coalition against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Ezekwesili this morning announced her withdrawal from the race, after “extensive discussions with Nigerians at home and the Diaspora.” She however said she was ready to form a coalition with other aspirations to dislodge the leading parties.
After her move, presidential candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Fela Durotoye has also asked for a coalition among the leading young candidates.
He made the call in a statement he released after the news of Ezekwesili's withdrawal became public knowledge .
