Though it is often said that you don’t change a winning formula, there are strong indications that Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr will break that rule.

He says he will adopt a new tactical approach for Tuesday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya.

While Rohr said he was quite satisfied with his team’s performance in their 4-0 first leg victory on Saturday, he stressed that a different approach is required for the crucial reverse fixture.

The Franco-German tactician said he would be ready for whatever is thrown at his team by the Knights.

If the Super Eagles secure their second successive away victory in Sfax on Tuesday; their chances of qualifying for the 2019 AFCON would brighten up.

In this light, Rohr said he is already preparing for response from the North Africans, and believes he will come up with the right tactics to cut short their ambitions.

“We have to expect a very difficult match in Sfax, but our plan is to do well and be very serious in the second leg.

“It will be more difficult, because this team lost 4-0. When you lose 4-0 and you have the chance to play three days later, you want to show that you are better than 4-0.

“That is why this is a dangerous result, because it is not a humiliation for them but they really want to show that they are better than this 4-0.

“We will approach the game differently and ensure we record another win.” The Super Eagles coach stated.
