2019: ADP Candidates Are Driven By Passion For Oyo – Kamaldeen
The 2019 elections will be very dramatic in Oyo state and the biggest battle is between Governor Ajimobi’s APC and the rest of the opposition who all want them out.
While ADC is in disarray and PDP is just taking shape, other parties are yet to exist in the minds of the voters, let alone provide a meaningful challenge. But the African Democratic Party (ADP) says it is ready for victory.
They have reasons to be confident because their governorship candidate is a former governor and strong Ogbomoso politician, Adebayo Alao Akala.
However, the House of Representatives candidate representing Ogo Oluwa/Surulere constituency, Kamaldeen Adewale believes they have more going for them.
While speaking with some of his constituents at a meeting in Surulere local government, he said that all ADP candidates going for elective position are not only tested grassroot mobilizers but people with plan and vision for the state.
"Most of the candidates in ADP are not desperate about power but we want to use our influence to initiate developmental legacy and transform our constituency into a better place through good governance and quality representation at various levels of government.
"Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, the gubernatorial candidate has been tested and trusted; he is not a hungry fellow but he is angry because the trend of development and masses oriented project which he initiated was halted.
"That is why he is making efforts to return to the
government to continue with the good work," he said.
Asked what he has for his people, Kamaldeen said, "My
constituency is dominated by rural communities and they are famers and traders.
"So, my plan is to facilitate agricultural and business
loans that will enhance their trading and farming activities and at the same
time facilitate roads, health centres and others that will make life better and
easier for my people."
