One of the top contenders in the race for the Presidency, Atiku Abubakar, is promising that if he is elected, he will appoint more young people and women to work with him.

In a tweet on Wednesday, via his handle, @Atiku, the presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP said for Nigeria to crush poverty, his government would have no choice than to appoint more women and youth to work under his government.

“Nigeria under Buhari is now the world HQ for extreme poverty. If we are to change that, we must empower women & youths. Therefore, I give an undertaking that if by the grace of God, I am elected by you the good people of Nigeria, at least 40% of my cabinet would be women & youths,” Atiku tweeted.
