2018 World Cup: Injury knocks out Moses
The Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has confirmed that one of the players in his 30-man provisional list for the World Cup has been ruled out with injury.
The 'unfortunate' player is Moses Simon who plays his club football in Belgium with Gent.
According to Rohr, initial prognosis indicates that Simon will need at least three weeks to get back to shape but with the World Cup fewer days away he cannot get a spot in the final 23-man squad to Russia.
“Simon Moses is injured and cannot be ready for the World Cup” Rohr stated when being queried on the availability or otherwise of the forward for Russia 2018.
With Simon Moses now out of the list, four more players are expected to be dropped after Monday’s game before the Super Eagles travel for England friendly billed to take place at the Wembley stadium.
