Cameroon will play for some pride when they host Nigeria in a Matchday 4 tie of the 2018 World Cup qualifier on Monday.

The game will be played at the Stade Omnisport Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde, with kick off fixed for 7pm local time, which is 6pm Nigerian time.

After suffering a massive 4-0 defeat to the Super Eagles on Saturday, Indomitable Lions midfielder Sebastien Siani says the team will have to do better.

“We must raise our level after our poor performance in Uyo. We’ll give everything to win the match here at home. We will play simple, effective football and play like the real Lions.” He said on CompleteSports.

“The AFCON is finished and we have moved on. We will come back after that defeat in Uyo, just like we came back from poor form to win the AFCON.

“We will be humble, simple, motivated; we’ll play for honour and pride. We’re ready.”

Nigeria continue to top Group B with nine points, and are trailed by Zambia, who occupies the 2nd spot on four points. Cameroon are 3rd in the group with two points, while Algeria is bottom with one point.
