2018 W/Cup Qualifier: Cameroon To Arrive Nigeria On Thursday
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are due in Nigeria on Thursday for Friday’s first leg 2018 World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles.
The Africa Champions have been quiet about their travel plans apparently as part of their strategy ahead of the game.
The team will now arrive Nigeria on Thursday, play the first leg on Friday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium and return to Yaounde on Saturday for the return leg on Monday.
They are expected to touch down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos before connecting a flight to Uyo.
Coach Hugo Broos monitored his side’s first full training in Yaounde on Tuesday. The session was held twice, and they are expected to repeat the double training session on Wednesday.
Broos said if Cameroon still want to have a chance of qualifying, they must take at least four points off Nigeria.
He added that should they fail to achieve that target, he does not think it will be possible to join the party in Russia.
Nigeria tops Group B tagged ‘group of death’ with six points after two rounds, African champions Cameroon have two and Zambia and Algeria have one each.
