Manchester City goalkeeper, Joe Hart, will not play at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

On loan to West Ham, Hart was reportedly told by coach Gareth Southgate that he will not be included in the squad list that will be released on Wednesday.

Stoke City's Jack Butland and Everton's Jordan Pickford will now be joined by Burnley's uncapped keeper, Nick Pope as England’s three safe hands in Russia.

Hart was left out of West Ham's starting XI by manager David Moyes for their final four games of the season, following their 4-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates in April.

The 31-year-old has been England's first choice goalkeeper for the last three major tournaments and has 75 international caps.

England will play an international friendly against Nigeria on June 2 inside the Wembley stadium before heading to Russia 10 days later.
