President Muhammadu Buhari will bless the Super Eagles team on Tuesday before they depart Nigeria ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Nigeria played a 1-1 draw with DR Congo in Monday’s international friendly in Port Harcourt.

The Super Eagles will attend a seminar on wealth creation, investment opportunities and portfolio management, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on Tuesday afternoon, before meeting with Buhari late on Tuesday at the Aso Rock Villa.

Buhari is expected to talk up the players and coaching crew to go and do Nigeria proud in Russia, and pledge his support for the team.

The president is a lover of football as he watched the home based Super Eagles on television during the CHAN tournament played in Morocco in January and February.

On Wednesday, the Super Eagles delegation will fly to London aboard a chartered aircraft, for Saturday’s prestige friendly against England’s Three Lions (also Russia –bound) at Wembley Stadium.
