Sweden-based Edward Chilufya has opted out of the Zambia team that will face the Super Eagles on Saturday in Uyo in a crucial Russia 2018 World Cup qualifying match.

The Zambia team Manager, Chris Chibuye confirmed to Fazfootball.com from the team base in Accra that Chilufya will not be part of the team as his work permit matters are yet to be finalized after signing a contract as he turns 18.

However, there's something good news for the Zambia team following the arrival of Austria-based midfielder, Enock Mwepu.

Mwepu, who stars for FC Liefering is the last of the foreign based players expected to add some spark during the contest.

In the meantime, Patson Daka will join the rest of the squad in Abuja on Wednesday.

Only two of the nine foreign based players summoned are yet to join giving coach Wedson Nyirenda enough time to perfect his strategy.

Zambia must beat Nigeria in Uyo to have a realistic chance of qualifying for next year's FIFA World Cup in Russia.
