Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola will on behalf of president Muhammadu Buhari be in Uyo to watch and cheer Nigeria’s Super Eagles when they file out against Zambia in a 2018 World Cup qualifier on Saturday.

The game will be played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo from 5pm local time.

The former Lagos state governor, who is a football lover himself, will stand-in for Buhari as the team seek to book a ticket to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Senate president Bukola Saraki is also expected to be present at the stadium, and so is Sports Minister Solomon Dalung.

The Super Eagles, three points ahead of second –placed Zambia going into the penultimate day of the African qualifiers, require only the minimum win against the Chipolopolo on Saturday to join 10 other nations that have already qualified for the 32 –team football showpiece in Russia next year.
