Egypt is the second African country to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia after beating Congo 2-1 on Sunday, ending a 28-year absence.

The North African country joins Nigeria who beat Zambia 1-0 on Saturday to qualify.

Mohamed Salah’s late goal saw the Pharaohs qualify for their first World Cup since 1990.

Egypt won their three matches at the Borg el-Arab Stadium with Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah scoring five goals in as many games.

As at Monday, other countries who have qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup include - Russia, Brazil, Iran, Japan, Mexico, Belgium, Korea, Germany, England, Spain, Poland, Costa Rica, and Saudi Arabia.
