The road to Russia 2018 World Cup has been pleasant for the Super Eagles who are unbeaten having played four of their six games in the qualifying series.

In as much as football is a team sport, the beautiful game is all about goals and only six players have been privileged to find the back of the net.

Victor Moses:

The Chelsea FC of England’s Victor Moses is leading the line as far as goal scoring is concerned.

Moses has three goals to his name, two of them against Algeria’s Fennecs in Uyo in November 2016 (the first and third goals) and the other (the third goal) in the 4-0 whitewash of Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions also in Uyo last month.

Mikel Obi:

Captain Mikel Obi has scored twice, both goals were registered at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

He netted the second goal against Algeria in November 2016 and also the second against Cameroon last month.

Eagles-Iheanacho-Iwobi

Kelechi Iheanacho

Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho has scored two goals; the first being the second goal against Zambia in Ndola in October 2016 and the second being the final goal in the 4-0 defeat of Cameroon in Uyo last month.

Alex Iwobi

The Arsenal forward prides himself as scoring Nigeria’s first goal in the qualifying series.

In his debut appearance in the Green and White Colours, Iwobi scored the first goal as the Super Eagles beat Zambia 2-1 in Ndola.

Ighalo

Odion Ighalo

The China-based striker has been head and shoulders above the rest. He scored the opener against African champions Cameroon last month in Uyo

Moses Simon

The Belgium-based star shot the Eagles ahead against Cameroon in Yaoundé in last month qualifiers.
