This year's Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination has witnessed a few firsts.

First, there was a rare opportunity for candidates to participate in a mock exercise.

Of the 267,000 candidates that applied to sit for UTME mock exam, only 79.03 percent participated.

It was also in this year that the 36 Million Naira swallowing snake gained prominence at the JAMB office in Makurdi, the Benue state capital.

Away from the drama to the good news. A new record has been set by one of the youngest candidates of the 2018 examination by Ajibola Oluwatosin Olumayowa.

Here are 4 things about him that you may not know.

1. He is from Ogun state - Afolabi hails from Egbado-North local council area. It is now known as Yewa North local council area.

It's headquarters is in the town of Aiyetoro. Aiyetoro, established around 1813, is one of the founding cites that formed Ogun State in the mid-1970s.

It hosts one of the best secondary school in the old Western Region - Comprehensive High School, Aiyetoro. Which currently falls within Yewa North.

The town also has a higher education institution, Olabisi Onabanjo University.

2. He attends a private secondary school - I won't be surprised if more parents from Lagos paying millions of naira as school fees decide to relocate their children to Abeokuta.

Taidob College, Abeokuta is the name of the school which young Afolabi attends.

It is within the timid looking walls of this college that a red hot National Treasure has emerged.

This also brings to the fore, the ongoing debate on the standard and quality of education our children get in public schools.

3. He does not have a Facebook Account - A tedious search by our correspondent leaves no social media trail for the 15-year-old genius.

He is not listed on Facebook neither does he have an Instagram account.

This is not to say that these platforms are bad but have become distractions for Nigeria's future leaders.

Especially when these youngsters are not properly guided and monitored by parents and guardians.

4. He is Scorpio

Afolabi was born on November 12, 2002. This means he is scorpio.

Scorpio is the eighth astrological sign in the Zodiac. It spans 210°–240° ecliptic longitude.

Under the tropical zodiac, the sun transits this area on average from October 23 to November 22.

Here are a few traits of scorpios:

Scorpios are INTENSE and full of PASSION.

Scorpios are clever and can't be fooled so easily.

Scorpio is mysterious and secretive in their ways.

Scorpio often has trust issues and can be highly suspicious of everything.

Scorpio is focused, ambitious and competitive.

Just in case you are still wondering, here are a few people also born on November 12 - Ryan Gosling (MOVIE ACTOR), Anne Hathaway (MOVIE ACTRESS) and Hassan Rouhani (PRESIDENT OF IRAN).
