2018 Prophecies: Different Revelations From 5 Powerful Pastors
One of the rituals of the Christmas and New Year celebrations which many Nigerians have looked forward to over the years is the gale of prophecies that emanate from Nigerian 'men of God.'
There is a noticeable trend in the prophecy galore: one, despite the non-fulfillment of previous ones, these 'men of God' double down and saturate the atmosphere with weirder predictions.
Two, some of the acclaimed 'men of God' prey on individuals whose stories can create controversies for them to milk.
Just like in previous years, the recurrent themes in this year’s prophecies are deaths, election winners, economy and entertainment.
Here are the different prophecies from five religious leaders.
First is Pastor E.A. Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God who revealed his 2018 visions at the cross over night.
Adeboye said: “Many Nigerians will wake up in 2018 to realise that their future is not in the hands of any government and as a result, a lot of lost grounds will be reclaimed."
He also announced that God told him that before the end of the year, there will be rays of hope that all will still be well.
He further prophesied that this year there will be less fire outbreaks but there will be more floods.
Then there's the Spiritual Director, Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria, Fr. Ejike Mbaka who has a warning for President Muhammadu Buhari concerning the 2019 elections.
Ejike on the night of Sunday, December 31, 2017, said he was divinely asked to advise President Buhari not to seek re-election in 2019.
He said: “Mr. President, as I was waiting on the Lord, I’m asked to advise you, don’t come out for second tenure. After this, retire, peacefully.
"Mr. President you are the cause of your own problem. God gave you an adviser, a wonderful mentor, a visionist, a matriarch, in the person of your wife, Aisha, but you don’t want to listen to her.
"That woman is heartbroken because she understood that you are not yourself. Come back to yourself or you will cry by the time you will be sent out of office. So, those who are encouraging you to come out and run again, they want to disgrace you shamefully and publicly.”
Well, Primate Belonwu Ezeanyaeche of the White Holy Sword of Light Church, Abuja did not agree with Mbaka's prophecy.
Ezeanyaeche, who also claimed to have heard from God, said everything under Buhari is working according to God’s plan.
“God brought this man in to strengthen issues. God revealed to me that Buhari will rule this country for 8 years and there will be an attempt to eliminate him and that has already happened.
“God saved him because he has to fulfill his mandate. So anybody that will come after Buhari will have to wait till he finishes the work God wanted him to do.
“Nigerians will clamor for Buhari to come back to power. Buhari is very soft compared to the man that will come after him. APC will still be in power.
Meanwhile, Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly based his revelation on God’s command that he should contest for the Presidency.
While giving a rundown of 12 revelations for the year, Bakare told his congregants that God told him not to abandon his political career.
“This twelfth one is a difficult one for me. It may draw excitement or condemnation. I have tried my best to keep it (to myself) but the Holy Spirit will not allow me to do so," he said.
“In my study around 4 a.m. on Sunday morning, God told me ‘you cannot bring your political career to a close; there is still more to do. Run for the presidency.'"
Apostle Johnson Sueliman of the Omega Fire Ministries in his 50 prophetic insights for the year said 2018 will be a year of confused noises and meaningless storms.
He urged former Aviation Minister and a critic of President Buhari, Femi Fani- Kayode to be careful as there are plans to assassinate his wife.
He also talked about Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, another critic of the government.
On Fayose, Suleman said there would be a manhunt for him by the Federal Government of Nigeria
He also said God has revealed to him that new strategies of killing perceived political enemies in Nigeria will arise.
Suleman, however, gave Nigerians something to be happy about. He said the economy will get better in Nigeria in 2018.
