He is 12 years and wanted to be part of a cult group, but the conditions given to him was unthinkable -one that involves life.

The boy whose name was withheld allegedly robbed and killed his landlady to fulfil one of the conditions given to him by the cult group.

The boy was among the over 60 kidnappers, robbers, murderers, cultists and ritualists paraded for various offences on Thursday in Delta State.

The State Commissioner of Police, Zanna Mohammed, who briefed reporters on the arrest of the kidnappers and robbers, said the teenager confessed that he committed the act because a cult group told him that one of the conditions for initiation was that he must have been involved in a criminal act.

Ibrahim also disclosed that one of the kidnap suspects, Sa’adu Alhaji, a national of Niger Republic, residing at Okpanma community in Oshimili North Local Government Area, was arrested over his complicity in most kidnap cases within Asaba and its environs.

He said the suspect was connected to the kidnapping syndicates operated by suspected herdsmen and an ally of Musa Mohammed, alias Musa 1,000, earlier arrested by the police.
