11-Year-Old Nigerian Draws France President Portrait In 2 Hours
French president Emmanuel Macron was swept off his feet when 11-year-old Kareem Olamilekan artistically drew a portrait of him during his visit to the New Afrikan Shrine in Lagos on Tuesday.
A very impressed Macron took to twitter and posted a short video of Kazeem being honoured, and wrote - “Very touched, congratulations to this young boy.”
The event was held to showcase and celebrate African culture. It was hosted by Nigerian Artist and performer Banky W and Kenturah King.
Macron also identifies with the Afrika Shrine which he said is an iconic cultural hub.
“The Shrine is an iconic cultural hub. And I say with a lot of humility that I recognize the importance of African culture.”
Every year, the New Afrika Shrine host top artiste in Nigeria and Africa during Felebration Music Festival which is currently managed by Femi Kuti and Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti.
