Ten ships laden with various products, including petrol are at the Lagos ports waiting to berth, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) announced on Wednesday.

According to NPA, two of the vessels are waiting to berth with petrol.

It said another eight ships would berth with bulk fertiliser.

The company said 34 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected at Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports between July 26 and August 28.

“The expected ships are carrying buck wheat, containers, general cargoes, lubrication oil, base oil, bulk fertiliser, bulk corn, bulk sugar, fresh fish, crude palmolein, bulk maize, bulk salt and petrol,” the shipping position said.

In addition, 24 other ships are at the ports discharging general cargo, ballast, seamless/steel, buck wheat, bulk fertiliser, bulk corn and bulk gas.
